Bickleigh, a pretty thatched village on the banks of the Exe river just off the Tiverton to Exeter road. The river powered Bickleigh mill, now a rural craft centre forms the focal point of visitors interest. Associated with the mill is a rare breeds farm and a railway museum.
A hotel, two pubs and a restaurant provide a wide range of good quality refreshments. Near by is Bickleigh Castle, a moated and fortified manor house which may be visited by the public.

Sea fishing at Seaton and Sidmouth. Boats can be hired from the beach at Sidmouth and Beer. The best time for fishing at Seaton is between Sept and Nov for bass. Sidmouth Bay is best in spring and summer. Trout fishing on stretches of the Rivers Exe, Otter and Sid. Coarse fing on the Exeter Canal.
