Crowcombe lies under the Quantocks. Its a lovely village worth
visiting for its ancient market cross, and has probably the best
preserved Tudor church house in the county.
The church has extremely well-carved and interesting bench-ends,
seemingly pagan in their imagery, symbolizing fertility. Next door and
clearly seen is the big Georgian House, Crowcombe Court.
